Art can be measured.
The Formal Elements Art Therapy Scale (FEATS) was created by Linda Gantt, PhD, ATR-BC, and Carmello Tabone, ATR-BC. It is a quantitative tool that helps measure visual elements in drawings. The fundamental principle of the FEATS is that certain global variables are the “graphic equivalent” of clinical symptoms, making it ideal for conducting correlational studies.
FEATS is used nationally and internationally and is helping revolutionize the assessment of psychological states.
